FAQ
Where are you located?
Most lessons take place at my home studio on Broadstreet in Limerick city. Some classes take place at The Urban Co-op on Ballysimon Road. Online lessons are available via Zoom.
Do you need any previous experience?
No! You do not need any previous experience to join any of my classes, including the group classes!
What age can you start classes at?
My 1-2-1 classes start from 8 years old and upwards and the group classes start from 9 years old. If your child is younger and would like to join when they turn 8 just let me know and I can add them to the enrolment list.
What time are the classes?
The 1-2-1 classes are normally 30 minutes and take place Monday-Friday. The group class duration depends on my availability and are organised on a per term basis.
How much do lessons cost?
The cost of lessons depend on what term you join as some terms are longer then others! Group lesson costs can change per term depending on my availability! Contact me here to find out how much the current term I am in will cost. Contact | TheVoiceBox Limerick

What is your cancellation policy?
I need at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Even with 24 hours notice reschedules are dependent on my availability so they may not be possible. No refunds will be provided so please make sure to carefully review your schedule before booking a lesson. The cancellation policy is the same for anyone who books in using a gift voucher.
Term Cancellation
14 days notice is required to cancel a term spot. A term spot is any booking of two lessons or more. Anything after 14 days your deposit is not refundable. If you have cancelled after the required notice and paid the full amount for a term you will be sent a gift voucher so you can book in another time. If you have booked a term and cancelled your very first class the outstanding balance must be paid to confirm your spot for the other dates dates booked. The cancellation policy is the same for anyone who books in using a gift voucher.
If I have to cancel my classes can I finish my lessons in the next term?
Lessons cannot be carried over to a different term for example if you are booked in for the summer school all lessons must be completed in the summer and cannot be moved to the Autumn term. As much as I would like to allow crossovers, the autumn and winter terms book out extremely quickly and I just can't guarantee there would be a spot for any lessons to be made up from previous terms. If you gave plenty of notice for cancellations and I wasn't able to reschedule you will be sent a gift voucher that you can use to book in another time.
What happens when I book in for a lesson?
When you book in for a class I will send a email confirmation with all the details including a YouTube video of how to find the building or the online settings required if the classes are on zoom.
Can I switch my classes to online if I have booked in person?
I need at least a weeks notice for a switch to online so I can either change your lesson to a better online time or contact the other students around you to see if they can amend their times slightly to accommodate the switch.
You may wonder why this is so! Well you see after an in person lesson I walk downstairs with them afterwards to make sure they get down ok! This is especially important for the children that come for their lesson on their own so I know they are with their parents safe and sound after their class. So if I have an online student after an in person I will be starting late as I have to get back up the stairs, set up the piano and mic and login! This will make the online students class start later and subsequently every person will be later and later after that. Because I can’t answer calls or texts during classes I can’t tell the students that I am running late. Not an ideal scenario!
